Legoland Discovery Center launched its newest location at Phipps Plaza, a high end mall located in the heart of Buckhead, Atlanta’s financial district. Needing to appeal to both the high end clientele that already frequents Phipps and the average parent who would love an opportunity to take their child to an immersive and fun learning environment, we decided to appeal to a sentiment that any parent with children aged 4 to 11 can appreciate: a child exhausted from a day of learning and play makes for happy parents that night.
We created a series of three print ads to be published in local and regional parenting magazines and a facebook campaign that draws from the illustrated ad campaign by encouraging parents to submit pictures of their own exhausted children after a hard day’s play at Legoland. The “winning” picture will earn their children’s likeness in the next round of illustrated ads to be seen in print and on the web. A POS display lets parents know about the facebook campaign before they leave Legoland.
