Here’s an oldie but a goodie. I recently had the pleasure of working with Tim Redman on photographing a number of my pieces to get them ready to share with the world. This is a piece I completed almost two years ago, but was too big to scan and I didn’t have the means to photograph it at the time. So, here she is…or rather, here I am!
I really enjoyed the process for this piece from sawing the uneven edges on the masonite, to prepping the surface by gluing down pages from an old book I had in my collection that was ready to move on to a new purpose. And then, of course, there was the painting. Painting just sets my mind at ease. There are parts of being an illustrator that certainly seem a little but like I’m actually doing work, but painting, man painting is like playing with a favorite toy…
